Journeys Aviation Flight Academy (JAFA) specializes in providing accelerated flight training programs tailored to clients interested in pursuing a career as a professional airline or corporate pilot. JAFA training programs are tailored to meet our clients' critical objectives: becoming a professional pilot in the shortest amount of time; training to the highest standards; reasonable costs. Students will train full time with experienced instructors and utilize the latest
technology
in a structured airline style environment.
The comprehensive, structured, 10-month program is designed to meet the initial training requirements of Civil Aviation Authorities for numerous countries worldwide. For a total program cost of under $75,000 USD, including lodging and transportation, supplies and all tests, graduates will be ready to step into the airlines to begin their aviation career.
Professional Pilot Development Programs
To satisfy the needs of various airlines, civil aviation authorities, and individuals, Journeys Aviation Flight Academy provides three programs for the professional pilot. All programs provide the following:
- All required ground school and flight instruction
- All necessary books & supplies
- All required FAA Written and Flight Tests
- FAA Medical Exam
- Housing
- Ground Transportation to and from the training facilities.

Professional Pilot Program
Designed to meet the requirements for entry level First Officer Position, this program meets the requirements for a large number of Non-US Air Carriers around the world. The program includes the following:
- Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)
- Instrument Rating
- Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL) with Multi-engine Rating
- Airline Transport Pilot (ATP) written examination preparation and test (FAR Part 121)

- 10 Hours of BE 1900D (EFIS equipped Full Flight Simulator (FSS)) including LOFT and Crew Dynamics Training.
- 250 logged hours of flight training, including 40 - 60 hours of multi-engine time dependent on the training option selected.
- Over 400 hours of comprehensive Ground School, including 160 hours of advanced classroom instruction in Turboprop and Jet Aircraft Systems and Operation, Crew Resource Management (CRM), Threat and Error Management, and High Altitude Operations.
Professional Pilot Program with Multi-engine Option
For individuals that require more multi-engine time, this option replaces some single-engine hours with multi-engine hours. The program consists of 50 multi-engine flight hours and 10 hours of Level C BE1900 simulator time resulting in 60 hours of logged multi-engine time.
Professional Flight Instructor Program
This program is designed to meet the requirements of becoming a professional flight instructor, which is the first step in the traditional path to becoming a First Officer for US air carriers. The program includes the following:
- Private Pilot Certificate (PPL)
- Instrument Rating
- Commercial Pilot Certificate (CPL)
- Flight Instructor Certificate (CFI)
- Flight Instructor Instrument Certificate (CFII)
